  You know Renee there is no need to split up your family over an apparent disagreement over religious beliefs, half of my family are not JWS and even though we

  were all brought up in it from childhood, we function fine as a family, perhaps not the model of closeness but nevertheless were there to help one and another out.

  This indifference in ideologies should not destroy a loving and caring relationship with your parents, it is simply not necessary and hurts unintentionally both parties.

  Maybe it's the expressed notion by your mother that if your not going to take part of the family religion that the family can no longer exist, that is simply not the case.

  Maybe you should express your love for your mother along with some respect for her recent decision and see what comes of it ......good luck

  of course, as witnesses, everything was possibly "demonized".

  if you got anything second hand, you could be in demon trouble.

  if you saw a horror movie or read anything by stephen king, you were inviting the demons to you.

  is there anyone on the board who is celebrating halloween for the first time this year?.

  this is my 2nd halloween i am doing since leaving the borg (almost 4 years ago now), but it is the first time i am decorating the outside of my home as well as giving out candy.

  i hope some jdubs come by and work my street during the halloween season.

  You mean the evening when adults scare the shit out of children and then give them candy which they consume only to give them a stomachache

  and possibly give them cavities on their teeth.

  Why does the better amount of society in N. America today celebrate a supposed Druid festival which of course was pagan in origin

  and human scarifies were performed as part of this festival

  The social responsibility toward our children doesn't present itself in my opinion

  Hi gal , it's too bad your mother can not find her self without the help of some corrupt men brain washing her, that is sad in it's self

  It's sad too that religious beliefs has in many times decimated family unions and togetherness

  JWS. have destroyed many families and relationships, sorry to say that but it looks like your about to become another statistic in this phenomena

  when i think back on the last 45 years of my life as a jw, it truly is remarkable.

  how i as an intelligent person could have believed all of the things that the wtbts.

  taught as doctrine and then for myself to teach others the same doctrine.. we could all give examples of this, however i was just sitting here drinking my coffee.

  never one to blow her own trumpet (yeah right) i thought i'd come in and thank you all for three years of entertainment, life changing information, reunions with old friends and the making of so many new ones.. i'm glad i came here.. (wonders if what ip sec said on the trevor gate thread about this board being so nice three years ago was a dig at me....).
